The department is responsible for the design and supervision of the construction of solar/conventional powered street lights and traffic signal control systems in the Kaduna State. Saddled with the maintenance of Ministry’s electrical power systems, standby generating set, valuation of vehicles, plants and equipment, and general office equipment. The department is not left out in providing support to the civil engineering department, the ministry of housing and urban development and other MDA’s with mechanical and electrical designs, bill of engineering measurement and evaluation on projects.
